Maternity Photos at Ellwood Bluffs, Santa Barbara — A Golden Hour Session on the Central Coast

There are places in Santa Barbara that feel like they were made for photography. Ellwood Bluffs is one of them — and for maternity sessions, it might be the most beautiful location I know.

The bluffs sit just west of Goleta, where the coastal trail runs along the edge of the land and the Pacific stretches out endlessly below. In the late afternoon, when the sun drops toward the horizon and the light turns that deep, honeyed gold, the whole landscape transforms. The wildflowers catch the light. The eucalyptus trees glow. The ocean goes silver and pink at the edges. And somehow, in the middle of all of it, a woman at the most powerful and tender point in her life looks completely, perfectly at home.
